Women of Okotoks Concert

November 2, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

An evening of song – Ellen Doty with Tanya Ryan and Brettyn Rose.

Ellen Doty is a soulful Canadian vocalist and songwriter with a world-class voice. After nearly two years of experimentation and song writing, Doty’s long-awaited sophomore album “Come Fall” Just released this March 2018. The project seeks to strip the music down to its bare bones, leaving a raw and incredibly spacious sound. No bass. No background vocals. No horns. No layers. Just piano, voice, and drums. The mixture of pop, jazz, soul, folk, and indie music, is a sound that is undoubtedly hers.

Tanya Ryan has been described as Patsy Cline in high tops; smooth classic vocals with a modern approach to delivery and song writing. Singer, songwriter, bass player, Tanya Ryan moved from Saskatoon, SK in 2008 and has rooted herself in the Foothills of Alberta where she has been honing and shaping her musicianship by playing numerous venues inter-provincially.

Brettyn Rose, young Canadian singer/songwriter, and recent gradate of high school. She is currently the anthem singer for Calgary’s WHL Hitmen hockey team and Okotoks’ WMBL Dawgs baseball team.
