Foothills Brass presents: Music of the 40s for Remembrance Sunday

JOIN the Foothills Brass Quintet and guests in concert November 10 2019, 2:00 pm, for another amazing program of Serious Fun: Music of the 40s for Remembrance Sunday.

Swing, blues and Latin fire highlight the struggles, victories and rebuilding of the 1940s. We showcase music from Ellington to Prima to Miller, songs from Ella Fitzgerald and Cole Porter, and a piano tribute to Count Basie! Featuring guest vocalist Kate Stevens (double winner at the 2018 YYCMA Music Awards) and pianist Steve Fletcher. Kate will also lead a trio of great singers to portray the Andrews Sisters in tunes like Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree and Chattanooga Choo Choo.
