Celtara at St. Albert Community Hall

Alberta boasts a roots music community that is known for diversity and imagination. And one of the driving forces on the local Celtic scene is Edmonton’s own Celtara. The quintet rolls influences from Norway, Ireland, Brittany and other Celtic strongholds into a uniquely identifiable sound.

Full-bodied vocals from Bonnie Gregory and Tami Cooper are fused with the dazzling work of guitarist Andreas Illig and accordion player Steven Bell. It all adds up to a fully-formed and spirited presentation that can be found on Celtara recordings like One True Love.
