The Arts Touring Connector (ATC) is a block-booking tool available to all ATAA members in good standing. These members (Presenters) are groups or individuals who contract musical and artistic performances (artists) for their venue. The Arts Touring Connector coordinator facilitates the block booking process for the presenter.
The block booking tool allows presenters to combine their efforts to create a tour for specific performances and share the cost of travel during the route. These performances may typically be out of reach for some venues and block booking can provide access and opportunities to a more diverse set of artists. With better routing, it is a win for artists as well by providing employment consistency within a block of dates.
To participate, Presenters log-in to the ATC account and indicate an expressed interest for artists they wish to contract. Once an interest threshold is met the Tour Coordinator begins the conversation between presenters and artist with the goal of setting dates and a financial contract. Please note, that in order for the ATC to be effective and fair for all presenters, all wish listed artist and agent negotiations remain within the ATC system.
The Arts Touring Connector (ATC) is the online tool that provides information about artists such as dates they are touring, the asking fee and tech rider. Presenters login to the ATC to place interest and to begin the conversation between all interested members. The tour coordinator facilitates the conversation, provides the letter of intent to the artist for review and approval with the goal of contracting the artist within the block booking scope
Agents, Artists, and Presenters can have an account, and view information directly applicable to them. To request access to the ATC, send an email to Caitlin North at tourcoordinator@artstouring.com.
Presenters browse the ATC for existing artist suggestions or suggest someone they think their colleagues would like. They express interest in an artist by adding them to their wishlist.
Artists who self-represent or Agents provide up-to-date information such as riders, available touring dates.
A tour is eligible to become a block-book when there are three or more Participating Members interested in the same artist.
