Anna Katarina is an indie Canadian-American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist (vocals, keys, guitars) and performer known for her honest voice, bold lyrics, and diverse compositions, often described as a modern mélange of Joni Mitchell, Alanis Morissette, and Sheryl Crow. She infuses her modern sound with influences from her classical and jazz background to create a live show that is diverse and engaging. Her debut solo album, Daisychain, showcases Katarina’s unapologetic lyricism, distinctive production, and a sonic scape reminiscent of Taylor Swift’s Folklore and Kathleen Edwards’ Voyager. She is working on a live video album series supported by the Canada Council for the Arts. She toured Europe in May 2023, is an Official Showcase Artist at Toronto’s NXNE Festival (June), and Arts Touring Council Alberta (October), and will be on tour all summer in western US/Canada tour. In 2022, she completed a 4-month performance and songwriting residency in Nashville, Tennessee. Katarina is an alumnus of Selkirk College and Berklee College of Music and is also one-half of the Indie-folk band, Rumour Mill.
