With the impending release of his fourth album, Braden Gates has already proven himself to be deserving of a wider audience and more than worthy of all the attention he has received in the space of five short years. In his late teens Gates was already performing at The Blue Chair and Uptown Folk Club in Edmonton as well as the Pembina River Nights and Beaumont Blues Festival. He was invited to play at the prestigious Edmonton Folk and Vancouver Island Festivals before hitting his 22nd birthday.
It was no surprise that this talented artist was nominated for the 2017 Emerging Artist of the Year and Contemporary Artist of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. With a new album set for release in the fall of 2018 on Borealis Records, this inspired singer-songwriter simply looks to win over audiences at every opportunity.
